Dear Poleates Members and Guests,

Everywhere you look these days, pole dancing is in the news!  Topping the list: this fast-growing sport is now getting some serious consideration as a competition for the 2012 summer Olympic games in London. When I started dancing 4 years ago, I never dreamed this sexy form of exercise would reach into the mainstream as it has, but the proof is in the pudding!

Just look at the top-level girls in this sport.  Women like Jenyne Butterfly, Felix Cane!  They are amazing athletes; and have you seen the shape these girls are in?

Weight-training and cardio are great, but I honestly believe that the real key to having a sexy, lean and graceful body is pole dancing.  It works all the right muscle groups in all the right ways to make anyone stronger, sleeker and more graceful.  But, you don't have to be an Olympic-class competitor to realize the benefits of this sport. If you just want to feel better, be sexier, and get a toned, athletic body, nothing beats pole dancing!  Did I mention that it's fun too?

Speaking of fun, I'll be competing with some of the world's top pole dancers at the USPDF Nationals in New York City on March 19th.  Come root me on in person if you can, but if you can't make it, check the USPDF website for links and updates, www.uspoledance.com.  Last year we got a lot of coverage from the likes of ESPN and all the New York media.  I'm happy, at age 44, to be there representing Poleates and hopefully inspiring my members to reach their own pole dancing and fitness goals!!!

At Poleates, with all of our new classes, it's even easier to reach those goals of a sexier, sleeker and more toned you!  If your goals are a little bit loftier and you want to be an instructor or competitor, Poleates can help.  We have an incredible 6 week course for those with dreams of competing. This course not only includes advanced instruction,  choreography, routines, USPDF membership, help with music and outfits, competition do's and don'ts, plus a submission video!  Call us for details!

Want to know more about me and Poleates?  I did an interview with Poleskivvies and it resulted in a really nice article that you can check out by clicking on the link below (there are some typos, not my doing):

In closing, I think it's great that pole dancing is expanding and become more popular.  I've seen a lot of new studios come and go too.  And though competition is healthy for the industry, I want to remind you all that Poleates is the original, the most experienced and the best place to learn to pole dance.  I take great pride in the boutique, warm and welcoming atmosphere at the Poleates studios and I know you'll love it too.

With Love, Support and Sexiness!
